DIY: LR channel pan/balance IC

I wanted to make LR channel balance becoz my left ear cannot hear well...
What do you think? Will this work?
This will need 2 fiio E5
Can fiio E5 accept mono plug? It wont short circuit or anything?
Will this degrade the SQ tremendously?
I know i can use a logarithmic taper instead but actually my left ear cannot hear very well at all frequency but especially so in lower frequency. So i plan on using bass boost on left channel fiio with a slightly higher volume than right channel fiio.
Dont laugh

You can change balance with rockbox, and also within windows.
I am sure the same is possible for other OS.
It doesnt look bad, but I am sure there are better alternatives to using two fiio e5s and there are cables that will do the volume change for you (but you'll need an adapter that splits a 3.5 stereo to two 3.5 monos).
