You know what's funny? Whether you can admit it to yourself or not, it's that you posted this exact thread, waiting on pins and needles until I or someone like me on the "other side" came in and posted exactly what I did (or something quite like it). And there I was, ready to lend a hand. And then, to top it off, you get the ability to protest whatever I, or someone like me, was likely to post in response. What a nifty circle that is.

So, yeah, we have a weird symbiosis like Lucy and Charlie Brown and that football. Or a bull and a red flag. You keep tee-ing it up, and I keep running for it.

The main difference, though, I think, is that at least I'm at the point of questioning myself and why I even bother, knowing that I'm just giving you and "your side" exactly what it wants (attention). I get angry and upset, just like you want. Then I post. So I'm being manipulated, just like you want. This sucks, but after all these years and all my contributions to Head-Fi, I feel some sense of ownership or "citizenship", so I feel like *someone* has to counter this BS.

You (I think), and some folks on "your side" maybe have not yet reached the point where you look in the mirror and ask yourselves why you post such threads, or make the inflamatory responses to other threads that you do. It might be illuminating (and a bit disconcerting) if you did. Is it all about "education" or maybe something else?

Believe it or not, when I post, you're not the one I'm addressing at all. I'm not interested in engaging in mudslinging and I'm not the least bit angry. I'm certainly not responsible for your lack of control if you are. The irony is that you seem to think that you need to be protected from me, when you are the aggressor here. I'm a strong enough person to take it. I know exactly how much weight to give disagreements on message boards.

I suggested a walk in the sunshine. It's an honest recommendation. Let go and think about other things. You can't control the internet. Raging at the waves only tires you out. The waves keep on coming.

See ya

You couldn't have put the link in the EXISTING THEAD with multiple pages of replies/arguments on the topic, to which you have already contributed dozens of times? You have to have a whole new thread on this to argue this anew?
You couldn't have posted your review of the Virtual Dynamics IC and power cords on Patrick's thread? You had to start a new thread review thread? It works both ways and last time I checked everyone is permitted to start their own threads. Your post in this thread it is pretty much just a thread crap as you so often try to avoid when you start a post.

We get it, you think the skeptics forum will be a ghost town. Then don't post there.

Self-knowledge can be scary. Looks like you aren't willing to look into that abyss just yet. As I figured...

Here's another prediction before bed-time. Let's look at your post-count daily average before and after the creation of the new forum just for folks like you. I suspect it will fall off dramatically, as folks like me will not be there to keep arguing whatever bunk you want to peddle that particluar day. And once you no longer get that instant feedback rush, your need to post will grow less and less. I predict within 6 months (probably a sooner) of the creation of the new Skeptics forum, we will have experienced the last post from Mr. bigshot.

Oh, I won't-- don't you see that's the beauty of the whole thing! You get to rant and rave in the echo chamber with no one to argue with. No fun for you! You will soon lose interest and drift away, true colors and motivations revealed. Bye bye.

Good night.
