Default B&W Zeppelin - An iPod Speaker System

Has anyone seen this? CLICK HERE

It looks really cool. I'm thinking about ordering one. Does anyone have experience with it? I know it's only been available for a few weeks...but you never know. I bet it stomps all over the Bose sound dock!

I like it. However, I like the B&W series, specifically the 600, and 800.

You can find the same performance for less, but the styling isn't there.. JMO.

A friend mentioned this to me about a month ago, so I checked it out... The styling reminds me of either a huge reptilian egg, or like two coneheads back to back, or possibly like those L'eggs plastic panty hose containers that used to be in every supermarket in the '80s.

It seems promising on the initial reviews, but $600 is pretty steep.

It does have a a few types of inputs including USB so it does seem pretty versatile.

I heard it.

I will say it's the best iPod speaker system I have heard, but then again it should be considering it cost more than most of the others. Bass is clean, tight and punchy and but not particularly deep, and the treble is crisp and detailed.

I wouldn't expect deep bass from such small drivers Looks interesting though.

Ive heard it, its pretty nice for what it is... but it is an ipod dock. you can get a speaker set up for $600 that will kill it. in fact Im going to sell my active Swan monitors (t300) and velodyne subwoofer for about $500 in the near future, and that definitely bests in the egg in every way.

it reminds me more of something B&O would produce, not B&W. i read in a review somewhere that it doesn't like loud volumes, either...

It sounds pretty good, but not earth shattering in any way :P
