Amp: Heed CAN AMP
The CanAmp is a two-stage amplifier. While the first - voltage gain - stage is based on an integrated circuit of the highest audio pedigree, the second - power gain - stage is a single-ended, pure Class-A amplifier. It enables the CanAmp to drive virtually any headphones from 8 ohms up to 600 ohms. As its output power (at 8 ohm) is nearly 1W, the CanAmp could drive even a high-sensitivity loudspeaker!

It only means that the player is not only compatible with regular DRM like buying a WMA file and copying it to the player it also means that the player can be used with music flatrates such as napster and co.
First everybody bought any MP3 Player, after that people began to buy DRM able ones and now you even need a player that is certified with playsforshure.
Oh man whats next,...anyway my iriver H10 is also certified so fingers crossed so far *smiles*

Other than better playsforsure support, what else is there? I think I'll pass this one.

The Touch had this conversion firmware last month.
As well as playing DRM stuff, it makes it appear on any XP/WMP10-enabled computer without drivers. Is play for sure the same as MTP?

I'm using 2_20_05 and it gives me support without drivers.
I don't "get" DRM. Its simply bad value for money. for the end user it causes more problems than it solves. IMO.

Yes, MTP is the application of microsofts plays for shure system it always launches the media player for syncronisation.
I also found that all applications like napster just pass the playlists to the mediaplayer.
If any sync trouble arises it is a good solution to open the mediaplayer and clear it from als sync tasks and playlists.
After that you can restart your music subscription app again and start resyncing
