That's right. It has to refresh the database. It only takes a minute or two.

Have you tested this out? I'm trying to do the same thing and can't get any album art to display. I use MSC mode (drag and drop), and put a file called folder.jpg (120x120, 13KB) in the relevant album folder (e.g. Talking Heads/Stop Making Sense/folder.jpg), but it doesn't display. Is there something else I should be doing?

That's what I've been doing and it works for me.
You could also try naming it 'album art'. I've heard that's another option.

I)enial, that's in a folder with flac files, right? Just want to be sure because some of the advice on the Sansa forums seem to apply to mp3 files or other non-Fuze devices.

That's right. FLAC is all I listen to on my Fuze.
Now, are you naming it on your computer or the Fuze? That's an important factor, apparently. It has to be named before you copy it to the Sansa.

+1.
The Fuze must rebuild the database (by restart) to apply change on file.

About the file, mine haven't used sub directory for same artist.
For example I've got 1 folder by album
\MUSIC\Crystal Method-Vegas\Folder.jpg
............\Crystal Method-Legion of boom\Folder.jpg
and no
\MUSIC\Crystal Method\Vegas\Folder.jpg
.................................\Legion of boom\Folder.jpg

To be on thread.
"My" preference with MP3 320 CBR considering:
-SQ FLAT : Kenwood(neutral)>Fuze=Karma (little less warmer)>Classic (little more cold)
-playing with SQ : Kenwood>Karma>Fuze>Classic.
-jack output "hissing problem" with high sensitivity IEM : Fuze>Classic>Karma>Kenwood.
Those impressions are very closer, notice this is my preference and not a fact.
Edit : Excuse me for multi post.

Hey how loud can the fuze play?
My re-1s have quite a low sensitivity.
And, if i play loudly wouldn't the battery life decrease?
same goes if i make a virtuall ine out by maxing the volume on an amp. WOuldn't the battery life be very little? Or does the volume not affect th battery life?
And, is it possible for a line-out for the Fuze in the future?

Sorry to go slightly OT again, but I managed to resolve my problems with this. I don't know what the maximum size is, but certainly 174 x 174 is OK. The other important point, and this is what was causing me problems, is that the JPG file must be baseline JPG, not progressive JPG.
As I understand it, progressive JPG is frequently used on web pages because it shows the picture in gradually (progressively?) better focus as the page loads. So a picture taken from a web page could quite possibly be progressive JPG. I used Irfanview to save the progressive JPGs as "normal" JPGs and these work fine on the Fuze.

Don't know, for mostly covers, I took it on Google image and resized it.
Probably I've got an auto-save in baseline mode.

150 ohms with RE-1, I think it's probably better with an amp cause you will must put a higher volume set, so it would decrease the battery life.

but to amp a source, you usually put the source volume at max anyhow, don't you...

Indeed (80% for me with an amp), but less than the maximum if you want more battery life cause the amp can powerful the sound at a decent volume.
