yeah and maybe drill a hole in the ipod to put a female mini for the line out connection for those of us that only has mini to mini cables.

This topic needs a long awaited bump. Lol. I just got myself a new iPod 30GB 5.5G. Without hesitation, opened it up, changed the battery and installed the CF Adapter from Tarkan and using a 150x Samsung 32GB CF Card purchased on eBay.
Using the latest rockbox in it, no problems whatsoever aside from the dead battery icon, but nothing a soft reset can't fix.
