Sony S639F resume

Can anyone tell me whether the S639F has resume on audio files? Have downloaded the manual and it mentions video resume, but nothing about audio.
Am tossing up between this and a Cowon D2 atm and because my partner listens to alot of talking books, resume is big deal for her. Thanks

there's no stop button on any modern MP3 players. as far as I know, the sony players will resume from standby. I don't know if they will from power down.

let me check with mine.

Edit: from complete power down and start-up after not using the player for several days, or entering Service Mode, the player does not resume. As long as the player is still in low-power mode it resumes just fine.
