sigsegv0x0B, just let them be, let them wallow in their supposed ignorance and enjoy the P2, will ya?

I can't do that, I just love you all way to much to let you suffer with the P2 .

Fortunately for us, none of us are "suffering" as you put it. We're all quite content and happy for our P2s. Hence this huge thread about the excitement of the updates.
And like I said, if you think a few minutes is a "long" time, then you need to cut down on the coffee or sugar. It's quite easy for the average person to kill those minutes. Seems like you're one of those guys that'll keep complaining even if they get transfer times down to the nanoseconds.
"But it's not at the speed of thought!! Sucks!!!" Bleh!

I am fairly reasonable about speed. 5MB/sec over wireless would be just fine for me.

First of all does the P2 do tv-out? If so, I would love to see Samsung add the ability for native playback of avi files @ higher resolutions. Do you think the P2 can do this through a firmware update?

It already can play avi files...
I had my zen earlier with 320x240 avi with xvid, then when I got my p2 I changed it to .svi and transfered it, and works!
Glad I didn't have to convert Dumb and Dumber again...
Btw, the firmware update is awesome!
Love the play speed thing.
Fun to listen to songs above speed and hear their voices all high pitched and fast like chimpmunks.
Or low and...wierd.

That's one feature (along with the A<->B) that I loved from my iRiver ifp-799.
Upgraditis at its worst. x_x

After using the new UI for a while, I have to say that Samsung did damned good on this. Everything just feels a lot more natural to use.
I really found being able to just swipe my finger in the curve I want over the EQ and it changing to that curve pretty neat! The image viewer is easier to use without having to bring up the menu to do the zooming and whatnot. The newer album browsing looks great and above all, the SQ is still awesome.
All-in-all, I'd say the new UI does everything functionally that the Touch can do (that they have in common), but yet still remains unique. If they could make it even smoother than IMO it would be as good or even better than the Touch.

i love this player, but i have a rule set in stone of NOT buying any player with a proprietary connector,
but a 16gb P2 or a P2 with a SD slot would really make me doubt my cowon D2,
leave the guy alone, alot of ipod fallowers are like that, some of them improve the player with rockbox and external amping, they strive to bring the ipod to a level that most of us envy,
and others just accept the itard mediocrity and act to lower everyone else to their level with this ipod uber alles jihad,
i´ve seen people with tags and rolexes, wearing cloths from very high end designers, and they pull out an ipod with ibuds,
you feel like smacking them,
