Samsung YP-P2 2nd Bluewave Upon us! Adds games, improves touch system, better than b4!! Video inside
It's here, today the 1st bluewave firmware was released. V2.08.
Now us P2 owners can make and recieve calls from our p2 once its been paired up with a mobile phone!!!
Files can be sent from the player to bluetooth devices.
Address book function so contacts from Mobile Phone can be bluetoothed over to the p2 then you can use the address book and call people from there.
E-Dict for those with KR firmware. Adds a nice virtual keyboard to this allowing for easier search of words in the dictionary.
Bigger album art.
ACC support.
This is just the 1st Bluewave update. 2 more to come still woohoo. Love my P2 even more now
Here's a YouTube video one user has made to highlight the new features on the P2 after installing the 1st Bluewave.

I'm quite interested in this device, I really have to try and get my hands on a review unit.

Its only going to get better until they release something else. 2 more Bluewaves due next year with more functions to be added.

I love the addition of it. Works great except there is no album art support for it yet. Yet another firmware update is needed to make the support complete.

P2 pushes it ...
The update did make the P2 more complete, the phone intregration thing is great ! I read that they are making a shirt/jacket clip-on remote for volume and ffw/rv and volume that has a built in microphone. That is the coolest feature of any separate media player unit in stock. I really like the fact that you then can have two devices with separate battery, because it's ****ing anoying to have the battery on your phone go out just because you like listening to music ... and the P2 alreay has great batterylife.

Or you can buy an iPhone and get a better device then YP-P2 with better phone functionality.. much better everything really. And save money! Phone + YP-P2 = PITA. iPhone = functionality and convenience!

No an iphone is cheaper then a phone + YP-P2. Not to mention far more capable then both devices put together and much easier to use then both devices put together.

what if you already have a phone?
besides, this thread isn't about how better the iphone is compared to the universe. i myself am interested in how well the p2 integrates with your cell phone, does it act just like a bluetooth headset?

several bluetooth phones are available from verizon wireless for free after the two-year contract if you buy online. brand new 8gb P2 = $249.
granted, there's no really good wifi in there.
