Default Samsung P2 or Cowon D2?

I currently have a Cowon D2 that I love but I have been looking into the Samsung P2. I've had the D2 for only a couple of months but the interface of the P2 really appeals to me and from what I've read the SQ is great. If I were to get the P2, I would sell my D2. The main thing that is holding me back is the storage. I currently have a 4GB D2 with a 16GB SDHC card and it's been working great. I have plenty of space for the music I listen to even though I hardly ever listen to it all. If I were to get a P2, I'd have 8GB of music that would listen to all the time because of the less space.

I am also quite fond of the firmware updates that Samsung is giving the P2, opposed to Cowon. I'm not bashing Cowon at all but when it comes to firmware updates they hardly ever add anything that users really want.

My questions about the P2 are, how is the SQ compared to the D2? I listen to everything from good/underground Hip Hop, Classic Rock, Rock and Jazz. I use PK2s and ER-6is for my headphones. How is the battery life? How responsive the screen? The D2 screen has been very responsive for me.

Overall, how good is the P2? Which is the better player for me? Should I take the plunge and sell the D2 or just stick with the D2?

If space is the issue, stick with D2.

For everything else, P2 is better. (literally)

Stick with the D2, not just for space, but also for the SQ. If you haven't already updated your firmware to 3.55 or 3.57, you're missing out on some positive changes in the D2's sound signature. Plus, when coupled with a portable amp (this only works since the D2 has a really clean HP out), the D2 absolutely shines.

Hello. I am a newbie to this site. I am trying to figure out what MP3 player to purchase. I may get Audio Technica ATH ESW9 headphones and a PICO DAC/AMP. Something along these lines. This is for portable and travelling use and some home computer. Is the Cowan good for the above--with a line out that everyone says the MP3 player must have or should I just purchase an IPOD classic--16/32? I am just using the mp3 to play music and I know next to nothing about music files or anything. I just want to get a high quality system for myself as a present. You can write to me at: bmetropolis@yahoo.com. And what about cables? Where do I get these?
