Default Rockbox/Ipod firmware problem

Today I finally got my iMod. This is my first DAP ever and the whole software issue is very confusing to me.

My main goal is to have Rockbox properly installed and be able to load music onto my iMod without any problems. I'm almost 100% sure I did well with the first part. When I connect the player to my computer (with Rockbox already booted), Windows (XP) is automatically searching for a Rockbox application which could be used for loading files onto the iMod. After Windows' unsuccessful search, I have no idea what I should.

I didn't want to wait with trying out the iMod before getting things right with Rockbox, so I booted the Ipod firmware, downloaded iTunes and got The Dark Side of the Moon onto the player. The second problem is: how can I delete the album? I found this webpage Adding and Deleting Songs and playlists from your iPod . I tried to follow the instructions, but no matter what I did, the titles of the songs remained grey (should be blue according to the pictures) and there wasn't much I could do with them.

Guys, please help.

When windows is searching for Rockbox drivers, you press cancel. That just shows up because you're in rockbox mode. After that, your ipod will switch into normal mode and you can use iTunes, or drag and drop. For drag and drop, make sure your iPod is in disk mode (google how to do this) and you should see it in my computer. Just put music files anywhere on the player, and when in Rockbox go into the settings and update your database.

In iTunes, make sure you are browsing inside your iPod on the left, and then right click files > delete.

Thank you for the help.

Another problem has showed up. There is a strange ticking noise (similar to the sound right before "I've been mad for ****ing years, absolutely years..." in "Speak to Me" by Pink Floyd) when I use Rockbox. When the volume is set at the normal listening level it's barely audible, but it's still there. Any ideas what that might be?

Everything is fine when using iTunes.
