Hey buddy, simple actually. But to get them to look like that I have to perform major surgery removing the original Ety stems. Took out the tiny pins and before resoldering, I salvaged two L-Plug rubber covers from a pair of Sony MDR-E818 and slide them over the pins. Then lotsa heatshrink work to seal them off

Holy crap! Those are going to have a rocking resale value. Amazing work to fix some of the damn microphonics issues.

My first pair of cans!

I'm considering an amp, but they sound so good without one!

Ha, how'd you guess?

I really don't care, though; it's too easy to scratch/smudge the damn thing [so I don't try not to], and a case doesn't make it sound better, does it?

I paid €248 for 4GB with a 2GB SD Card. It will pretty much play any format (MP3, WMA, OGG, FLAC, ASF, WAV, APE). No dedicated line-out. Great player.

That's a good price. Link? Just wondering about UK shipping I thought this was OK, but it turns out to be 30-40 Euros more expensive. With rumoured SDHC support coming, I'd rather save the green for a 8g card or something
