I had never heard a KSC75 till this past weekend when I purchase a pair for my daughter at Radio Stack and to test them for myself.

Unless there is a big change in the KSC75 with a burn-in then the Koss phones are not nearly as clear and controlled as the EW9s. The EW9s as I have said are baby W5000s. They sound really nice out of my Nano or Shuffle without any other help. They are built closed but fit loose enough to be considered open. They do not appear to be a problem at work with leakage and I can have a conversation while their on my ears. So they are somewhere between closed and open.

I have used the AKG K81DJ and Ety4Ps as work phones and I enjoy these more.

If you can get a pair for around 100$ US or less get one.

Really nice; I hear a lot of people saying the PA2v2 doesn't go well with the HD580 but seeing as I haven't heard anything else I like it just fine.

My wallet fears the day I run into an opportunity where I might try a "better" amp.

P.S.: (OT) 100 posts!

I bought mine used about a month ago and it arrived within a week. Unfortunately, the sound was only coming out of the right channel so I had to send it off to Gary, who fixed it and promptly sent it back. It got here on Wednesday.
