Just made that braided cable, its horrible, its soo thick. But the cables look like all copper so im happy. as for sound... i don't find amps and cables change much when listening from the sound card (audigy)... but i think with this line out thing from the cd, i think more clear than the head phone jack, just like more precise (accurate). Im using this cd player cause my 64mb muvo just doesn't work with vista.

These are some old ear buds, 80s i think... there very clear, but lack bass, but seriously there good, they are more clear than my portapros. Everything is IMO of course...

Pics?

Older Sony earbuds sound FANTASTIC.
Those look possibly like the Sony MDR-E424's.

Default My Portable Rig 1 and 2

Sennheisser HD600 Headphones, Sony Discman DT24, Headroom Micro Portable Amplifier, Stax SRD-X non Pro Portable Adapter and the Stax non Pro Sigma Headphones.
It takes some guts to wear the Stax Sigma's out in public or on Mass Transit. It's good for attention and meeting people though! I particularly like the old school Sony ST24 Disman. I think it rivals all of the modern players available today.
