Creative Vision M with BSE, Little Dot Micro 2, UM2, Custom Interconnect

Here's some photos of my portable rig. I've had the ZVM for about a year, the UM2's and LDM2 are only a couple of weeks old and I've just finished making the interconnect a few days ago.

Cheers

Yeah right,
post some pictures of my new portable setup

Nothing fancy, a lot of silicone, and my newest toy ( a quables lod "u2 special edition") isn't even in the picture

@Fireescape: Nice diy interconnect! What parts did you use?

That's brilliant! I've got a ONE band that I rarely wear because I don't like wearing things on my wrists, but it'd be perfect to keep my ipod and ldm+ together! Right now I'm using a green rubber band

That is a GREAT idea!

I wonder how long before they stretch out and don't hold any more?

Right now I'm using a thin Velcro strap.

Hi
rhymegsgalore, the interconnect is made up of a 30 pin a/v connector from a ebay shop called summitimagestore http://myworld.ebay.com.au/summitimagestore/[/url]
I just cut off the three av connectors, worked out which cables were left and right audio then soldered them plus ground into a gold plated 3.5mm plug disregarding the video cable. I painted the whole lot black and heat shrinked the cable. Cost about $18 including postage, heat shrink and plug. I compared it to a canare cabled mini mini and the creative dongle set up I used previously and I can't tell any diffrence in the sound quality. I even did a blind test with my partner swapping the interconnects and there is no sound diffrence at all. (I read that the quables interconnect sounds better than using the dongle, but at over $80 aussie dollars it would want to sound a lot better because my wallet just can't take the strain)

Cheers
