I still don't know how I feel about the new shuffle, but this is a very sweet super ultra portable.

Darn, I wish all my earphones had short-cord. Clutter is the main problem with the new shuffle, whether the cord is tied up and wrapped or not.

That short cord is perfect for this. All iems should include the modular cords in my opinion.

For me the biggest downside of moving from Shure E2 to Shure E500 is the plug that sits in the middle of my chest area. I would prefer the Shure E2 cord setup on my E500.

How do those MDR-EX90's sound? I'm thinking about getting a canalphone that is less annoying to wear than my EX81's.

surprisingly good. much better than the erstwhile EX71 and 81. a bit of isolation is lost though but doesn't affect the bass in any way. i may hold on to them for now while i search for new IEMs.
