Default My zen micro isn't working properly!

Hi everyone. at christmas i got a zen micro and its amazing! i really prefer it 2 the ipod mini. but recently iv'e come up with a problem. Whenever i put in my headphones i cant hear the sound well even if its full volume or the sound goes on and off. its not the headphones as ive tried several pairs. plzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz help me out guys i love my micro.

the micro's are known to have a headphone jack issue. have you tried contacting creative?

Did you try running a Clean Up? It's worth a try. To do so, remove the battery, then while inserting the battery back in, simultaneously hold the power switch to the left, and keep holding it until the recovery mode screen shows up. Then select Clean Up.

i never knew that feature existed! the manual (which is completely worthless for the micro) doesn't even mention it.

sounds like a fried headphone jack. but just in case try everything on the list in "recovery mode" (thats the one where you take the battery out, hold the power button and re-insert the battery)
