Default iPod Sound check question

If I am using an iPod's line out does the sound check (the feature that ensures that everything plays back at the same relative volume) still work?

However, the "Volume Adjustment" setting for each individual song will not be 'adjusted' if you are using line-out.

Sound Check sucks. Use MP3Gain or AACGain for much better results.
