Default I'm looking for a mp3 player with ogg support

Hi.

I'm looking for a mp3 player. It would have to have to support ogg vorbis and work with linux (no mediaplayer only crap!). Besides that I'm looking for good sound quality and long battery life. Low price is also a plus.

The player is for my girldfriend (and me). She want's one for her birthday (and since I can't afford buying two and she has nothing against sharing it). Her birthday is on Sunday so the sooner i get some replies the better.

Looking forward to concidering your suggestions.

Ps. This seems to be a great forum. I really love the sound I get with my Philips SHP805 (concidering the low price), which I bought because of the reviews I've read here. Now I want some more expensive cans (and a new soundcard and parhaps a amp and...) and that's all your fault, too.

I think your looking for something like the iAudio players made by Cowon. Depending on what you want (flash or harddrive, size etc) will dictate which one you actually want, but they all support ogg vorbis (as well as loads others) and also work with linux, mac os, windows etc just as an external harddrive (no software required to add/remove files)

only some support ogg. Older Iriver model, Ihp120 (best with Rockbox firmware), and H320 supports ogg. Rio Karma support ogg. and the new Cowon Iaudio X5.

might as well get the x5 since its still in production and you get warrenty, and it support Flac too (ihp120 also).

notice that playing ogg take more battery life than mp3 since its take mroe processiong power to decode.
