Question ID3 Tags

This may be a bit off-topic, but why does every single audio program have a different interpretation of ID3 tags?? I had my collection beautifully labelled, track numbers and albums researched and everything - then I got my Zen Micro, and the Creative Organizer says that some of my tracks have no artist, or album, or the artist and the album are both in the title. Where does it get that?

MP3 files can have both ID3 v1 and ID3 v2 tags on them. V2 alows more information such as beats/min etc. Most tagging programs alow synchronizing between both of them. Perhaps one of them isn't present.
It isn't necessary to have both tag types though.
I believe the new firmware for the creative zen micro alows drag and dropping now. That should solve the problem too.

and your sure you werent altering the file title. because that happened to me and it pissed me off to no ends. i spend like 3 days making my files pretty on limwire only to find out it edits the file title not the tag. dam you limewire use some freaking id3 tags already, everything else about you is so good.
