Default Creative Zen and podcasts - gift questions

Sorry if this has been covered elsewhere, I couldn't find it.

I'd like to get some kind of iPod-y thing for my mom for Christmas, I think she'd love podcasts. I saw some Zen 4gigs on sale at Goodwill with damaged packaging. Being cheap, of course I'm tempted by that. Would a Zen allow me to hook her up with podcasts the way I can with iTunes and my iPod, or will the Zen not coordinate with iTunes?

Thanks for any thoughts you have.

Zen doesn't work with iTunes but you can use Zencast which is Creative's Podcast utility.

Alternatively, you could just download using iTunes and sync it like normal
