Wink C.D style skipping V.S slider skipping ( A.K.A as in winamp)

Hey guys,

Sorry for asking a n00b question but i really want to know if most players today still have that annoying c.d style fast forward skipping or have they moved over to a slider style skipping system so that u can start playing for example a 80 min sound file where ever you want to, or skipp it really fast forward to any specific minuet you want?

what is this feature called anyway?

Thanks.

currently going to buy a new DAP and looking into IRIVER H10 IAUDIO X5 OR Ipod Mini.

My creative Zen does both ways. Zen micro does too.

I know the iPod does both ways too (I used to own it). The mini behaves in the same way as the full-sized iPod, so...

Not sure bout the iRiver
