That's awesome. I hope the video quality is a little better this time around. Is Steve's talk from last time still available on DVD anywhere?

I believe it is buried deep in the Head-Fi archives. Search "meet" as I recall.

Steve's work on the Music Matters series is nothing short of brilliant, this talk is going to be something not to miss.
Here is a link to his most recent work
Music Matters, Ltd. - The Definitive Blue NoteŽ 45RPM Reissue Series
The team is currently hard at work assembling a what is shaping up to be an outstanding reference system for this talk. More to come after ink is put to paper.

Joe Harley was at a local shop last week talking and demoing the Audioquest cables and doing some comparisons between original bluenote and the new remastered 45rpm pressings. Very good. Also his older Audioquest productions (pressings) were very good if you can find them.
This (Music matters event at Audio Alternative) was the best of its kind i have been to. it also featured Well tempered turntable, Dynavector cartridges, arm, and turntable (made by welltempered) Audio research electronics, Audioquest cables, and Vandersteen 5A speakers. Plus live music! you guys are in for a treat if the head-fi meet gets even close!

I will let the people who have worked hard to get great gear loaners -- and even paid their own money to acquire one piece in time for the meet -- be the ones who lay out the details, but the Hoffman/Harley talk will have a stunning rig in action. This will be a highlight for everyone who attends.

The Turntable that will be used for the demo will be the Galibier Serac paired with an Artisan Audio Tonearm and Dynavector 17D3 cartridge.
More info is located here

The JP#s TT will feed the Manley Labs Steelhead Phono, the Manley Labs Neo- Classic 300B preamp, and the Manley Labs Snapper monoblocks which they are building right now just for the meet.
The speakers will be the Von Schweikert Audio VR5 Anniversary speakers.
This is my dream system which will be playing music remastered by one of the best engineers in the business. I am pretty sure the demonstration will impress all those who have the opportunity to attend.

Great work putting that system together Greg. It is going to be smokin! And of course it is nice for JP to take one for the team and buy the Galibier just in time for the meet. So selfless.

Yeh, that was a generous move on JP#s part.
Thanks Al, glad to see there are Manley Labs fans out there. Mike's suggestion and your enthusiasm help light a fire under my behind to get this system rolling. Thanks to ASR for the Von Schweikert Audio lead as well. I am planning to bring some AcousTech Mastering vinyl to demo, should be fun.

Steve and Joe are slotted for 1pm and 4pm in the Carmel room. Their second talk will be just before the raffle, so you could also hang around and possibly win something!
