Your parents are more than welcome to come along and enjoy themselves after hours with the older CanJam crowd. We range in age from younger than you to probably old enough to be your parents.
OK, I'm starting to feel kind of old typing that one.

Ah. Maybe I can see if you guys can get them drunk enough that I wont have to deal with them the next day?
Anyone know who the youngest in attendance was in this year's canjam?
(Oh, and some rooms are not for those who's wallet is faint at heart, don't know about the people themselves.)

The youngest I saw was HPA's son. Wouldn't take stax off his head in the Smyth Research room for anything

Yep. He's got his own SR-Lambda/SRD-7 in his bedroom.

Each person that suggests a city should be ready to step up and dedicate 500+ hours or more to plan and execute such an event and have a team of people that are ready to do the same. It's fun to call out cities that are convenient it's another thing to make it happen. That said I hope it is in Chicago as they have a great group of dedicated Headfiers that meet regularly, heck just check out the Chi-Unfi meet threads, they are ready to rock the house.

This one would be a great idea. Last year, some Vancouver went down to Seattle for a meet and it was such a great time.

As some saturday night Can Jamers will attest, what happens at Can Jam, stays at Can Jam.

It is very easy to "recommend" that Can Jam be held in a particular city and "request" that certain things be done (by others) to make Can Jam great. Anyone who posts in this thread should be ready to pitch in at least 200+ hours of their time, not just their ideas, to make Can Jam happen. In my opinion, at least three quarters of what makes a meet successful is the team to donate the sweat equity.
As for the parties, everyone participated in some partying whether it was just standing around discussing/arguing about gear and music, matching the people with the avatars or just sampling the local cuisine. Drinking and carousing was a very small part of it but is the most interesting for people to talk about. Not a big part in my opinion.
