CanJam in LA was awesome. I am impressed, having been around head-fi for about a year, on how good you guys are. I am not sure if I can make to to an East Coast meet (too many trips and obligations next year, including a trip to Argentina, unfortunately not related to head-fi).
I am sure however, it wont be my last meet.
Chicago sounds very tempting though.....mmmmmhhh!

I just hope that they announce where it's going to be soon, gotta start saving up and finding out how much a flight there is.
And talking my parents in to letting me go... wait is canjam 18+? They were passing around scotch at the one in cali so I have a bad feeling they wont let us unders in.

All ages are welcome and encouraged to attend Can Jam, just some rooms are not for the faint of heart.
As some saturday night Can Jamers will attest, what happens at Can Jam, stays at Can Jam.

Exponents ?? As I understand things, the SSI meet was more a friendly show-off than an exposition. What does the general public would get from a heaf-fi booth ?
I whish I could have gone to the latest SSI. I guess I won't be there next year either (job) but I totally like the idea of a head-fi meet inside / parallel to the SSI.

This is the great thing about the national and meets in general. All are welcome. There's lots of talk about parties and carousing, but the fun is really from hanging out and seeing friends. Oh, and the gear. This hobby has room for everyone.

It really should be Chicago. I'll ask my mom if I can go.

It really is staying at Can Jam as this one has the least discussions of what goes on after the show closes.

No, we weren't passing around scotch during the day at the meet. It was an after hours thing.
Your parents are more than welcome to come along and enjoy themselves after hours with the older CanJam crowd. We range in age from younger than you to probably old enough to be your parents.
OK, I'm starting to feel kind of old typing that one.

It has to be Chicago, IMO. It's been to both coasts and the south.

Chicago would be pretty awesome I think!
My real preference is st louis though!
Hell, the arch kinda looks like a set of headphones...
(Note to self - if there is a STL canjam, make plans to decorate arch accordingly)
Also, we have the glories of East St Louis and the larry flynn hustler club!

You can't get much more centrally located than Dallas !! Ginormous airport !!
Lot's of hotels nearby and the weather in May is still cool and dry enough.
And drivable from anywhere in the CONUS in three days.

Larry,
I'll pick you up on my way from Oregon, as I swing through Denver for that trip. Maybe we can catch a couple of late season tornados in Oklahoma.
