Welcome to the club of "old pharts in training", I can honestly say I graduated to "old pharts in action". If you apply yourself you too can move up.

I'm sure I'd take either over the all-hype Pink's in LA!

Metalheads will have to check out Kuma's Corner. A good selection of craft beers, constant metal on the sound system, and hand-packed burgers with really fresh ingredients. Their sandwiches include the following:

The "Slayer" (piles of fries topped with a 1/2 lb. black angus burger, chili, cherry peppers, andouille, onions, jack cheese and anger);

The "Plague Bringer" (burger with roasted garlic mayo, tortilla strips, chicago co-op hot sauce, fresh garlic, pepper jack, sliced jalapenos);

The "High On Fire" (burger with siracha hot chili sauce, prosciutto, roasted red pepper, grilled pineapple, sweet chili paste); and

The "Lair Of The Minotaur" (burger with caramelized onions, pancetta, brie, bourbon soaked pears).

I heard that Pinks as over-rated. This is blasphemous, but I thought the same about In-N-Out. My family out in the LA tell me foodie culture has never been the same since the City Council banned bacon dogs - what a tragedy!

Those all sound amazing. The first one looks to be the tastiest though.
I'd probably not be allowed in though.

It's more a restaurant than a bar, so all are welcome. I plan on bringing my kids the next time I go - they would get a kick out of the wait staff - tats, piercings, and pink hair.

YouTube - Rolling Stones Record Store on Irving

YouTube - Rolling stones store on Irving

Rolling stones Record store on Irving Park. I shot these two videos after shopping there tonight, next week i will try to get better video though.

one of the legend independent cd/record stores to visit in Chicago (it's actually in Melrose park). used to be open till 12am but the damn economy and mp3 all while taking the weight from the big chains forced it to close now at 11pm every night. i would say i have at least 2,500 cds from this very place alone..its that cool!

here is another video from youtube that shows the ceiling inside (its awesome!)

YouTube - Treaty of Paris @ The Rolling Stones [9-25-07]

a must Visit for Music lovers in the Chicago land area.
