Where's the bar!

father's office
It must have been midnight somewhere .......

It's amazing what a computer-generated birthday notification can do for your spirits. Roth Army wrote too, but we were at headbanger central. Once you find a place to sit ... it's definitely worth the trip. Then maybe head up to Jumbo's Clown Room.

Good news for anyone flying JetBlue or Using Burbank Airport instead of using LAX for CanJam 2009. If you go to The SuperShuttle Website, you can sign up to take the shuttle from Burbank to the Hilton LAX for $39 each way. You don't have to make a reservation for a round trip on the Super Shuttle, as you can do the second return trip to Burbank once you have arrived at Canjam 2009. Be aware that the Supershuttle Bus might make a number of stops on the way to dropping you off at the Hilton LAX, but if you are looking to save a little money this is a good idea.
Another Idea could be to have a number of Headfiers join together to take a cab from Burbank or even take the same flight on JetBlue out of NYC JFK and then share a cab. These are just some possible alternatives. Scottsmrnyc

Just a thought: Jet Blue also flies JFK to Long Beach Airport (LGB), which is only 20 miles to LAX, so it may be cheaper on Super Shuttle. Also, LGB is 5 minutes from my house, and I've already indicated to the organizers that, schedules permitting, I might be able to pick up some Head-Fiers at LGB and deliver them to the Hilton. We'll see how timetables and any other responsibilities lay out, but something to keep in mind.

BRBJackson- This is indeed better news and I wasn't aware of the fact that Long Beach is closer to the Airport Hilton than Burbank. I haven't made any air plans yet, but I will now go on the Jetblue website and investigate. Thanks. Scottsmrnyc.

BRBJackson- You are the Man! I just booked my flight from NYC JFK to Long Beach, CA. California Here I Come, Right Back Where I Started From. For those planning a similar trip out from NYC, I just paid a base fare on Jet Blue of $323 USD. That was way less than what I saw on the JetBlue website for NYC JFK to Burbank Airport. Thanks cor your advice BRB. I am now totally in for CanJam 2009. I hope the T shirts will be cool! Scottsmrnyc

Oh, joy! Finally got my work to give me one day off for CanJam on Sun
BTW, if not already done, we should advertize the event with Bob Levi, the President of LA Orange County Audio Society; lots of folks there would love to hear some *real* headphones...

Man, you organizer guys sure wake up early. Or is there some way to put a timer on sending a post,.. I guess there is if you really needed to huh?
Well, I'm already getting a little excited and I'll be happy ta do some shameless promoting on some of the audio forums that are a little off the beaten path.

I liked the photo too. I brought back alot of memories of picking up and dropping off friends and family at LAX. The actual sugn in the photo ( I think they photoshoped the CAN Jam in there) happens to be the busiest 24 hrs a day live sex and adult video store just west of the freeway on Century Blvd going to the main LAX terminal

Do cab drivers in the Los Angeles area take credit card as payment or is it all cash? Scottsmrnyc
