If I fly from NYC on JetBlue it goes into Burbank Airport not LAX. How far is it in miles from the hotel to Burbank Airport and how much could a cab ride cost to the hotel from Burbank Airport? Is there a shuttle bus that goes from Burbank Airport to LAX? Then I could pick up the Hotel shuttle bus to the Hotel. Since you seem to garrantee a good turnout for CanJam 2009, you can count me as well. I will be making my plans in a month or so. Scottsmrnyc

Okay- I have a hotel reservation at The Hilton LAX from May 29th to May 31st. I am working on the airfare now. You can count me in. Looking forward to seeing you all. PS- I can confirm that if you call the Hilton LAX and state that you are a Headfi member, your room rate is and will be $89 per night. Scottsmrnyc

Some of the best listening sessions can be held in the bathroom stalls at the bottom of the diagram.
As long as no one asks you to "spare a square"

Wow, looks great 909. Having multiple smaller rooms instead of one big central one looks like a winner.
Just one question,..
Where's the bar!

The Burbank Airport is about 30 miles from LAX and the meet. I'm not sure about if there is an inter-airport shuttle, but a cab fare would be pretty brutal, I'm guessing.

Sadly, I just took a cab from Burbank to LAX to try to get on an earlier flight, and the fare on a saturday afternoon was $110. No shuttle. Maybe a Head-Fier who lives near there could drive you but otherwise you are adding at least $100-200 to your transport costs.

LOL, there could be a Head-Fi cannonball run across the country, picking up more caravan of cars with Head-Fiers along the way. EPIC, I tell you. EPIC!!!!

If they are willing to pitch in for gas and parking, I might be willing to take a Headfier or two from the Burbank airport to LAX. Also, I want to be sure what their timing (when they arrive, how long they are staying at the meet, etc.) and place will be (hotel and such).

Okay, thanks for the information about the cab ride to and from Burbank Airport, I have some time before I book my airline; so I will let you know. It's just that I like flying JetBlue a lot. Scottsmrnyc
