I have been waiting for this for the past.... three months or so.
I can't wait. What do I need to bring? Is there a cost of admission? Should I rent a hotel even though I live about an hour or two away?
Any tips for newcomers?

This seriously sounds great. I'm not sure if I want to attend yet or not. I think it'll mostly depend on where I get accepted for college to determine if I should get a headphone set-up or not. The date seems perfect, it'll be before a music festival I might want to attend and who needs to study for upcoming finals; let the senioritis hit me. It would probably still be possible to sign up for Can Jam around late March early April, including possible hotel reservation and maybe hitch a ride on the bus from the bay area right?
