Wow! Rooms can actually go that quickly? I hope there may be some more available at the group rate later in April.

Call the hotel directly and say you are part of the Headfi group, The rate should be $89 per night. That is what I did. Scottsmrnyc

I am positive our block of rooms is not sold out as we had a large block and was assured they would open up more blocks as these sold. I have a call into the person that I am working with at the hotel and will get this straightened out tomorrow morning.

My sincere apologies to anyone who received the wrong message from the hotel and rest assured I will get this taken care of.

Thanks John, I'll give it a shot tomorrow with reservations, and post here what happens.

No promises, but I'm going to try and make this meet. Work is calming down, and I would really love to make it to this meet to greet all the old folks I know, and get to know some new folks.

Even though it's local I might end up getting a room for both nights. Allows for more time to be spent at the meet.

i inquired about that, but it was cost prohibitive due in large part to the set up costs and how much they wanted per each additional computer connection. we did, however, negotiate a fantastic $7 per 24 hours special discounted hi-speed internet rate in the head-fi guestrooms.

OK, so here is the problem. I called direct and I could receive the group rate for Friday and Saturday but I was told that the block was sold out for Sunday night. So you may want to check into the problem with the Sunday night block.

I guess I'll wait but as of 10 minutes ago I still could not get the group rate for Sunday over the telephone. No biggie but thought you should know. As far as the web booking you cannot put in a promo code of more than 6 characters so you can do HEAD-F or HEADFI but not HEAD-FI in their on-line form.

Default Rooms

I just reserved my room at 18:45 today Thursday January 22. Friday and Saturday were $89.00 and Sunday is $109.00. I was told by the reservationist(Char) that there are a total of 15 rooms left.
Good listening.
David Pritchard

Is there going to be a door fee? Or does the 6/dollar a day imply only hotel/transportation fees? =p
