Thanks for the reply guys, i really want to go but am starting to get serious grief from the missus, so are you both actully attending Grahame and 1UP? Are you staying at the Hilton? Are you doing both days etc?

I am sure that Grahame will pipe up, but he and his wife are attending, and both meet your UK criteria. I do not see 1UP in the roll call thread so I assume not. Still, us Yanks don't bite [ much], and we would be happy to have you. There have been one or two UK members of the Travel Team at all or most of the last 3 International Meets, so you don't want to let us down this year do you? I'm sure the missus can be made to understand (especially with a little gift from California).  Hope to see you there.

I'd recommend that you get here if at all possible. Re: grief from the missus - LA makes a great starting point for a fly-dive holiday, trip to Disney etc. If you can pick up a last minute bargain trip for you both all the better!

Lol, im thinking about popping over for a day or two just for the event. I want to buy a high end dac and if i could get one and bring it back with me the money i save would pay for the flights, im checking them out now

I cant leave the UK till Saturday Morning, theres a flight 06.40 from LHR which gets into LAX 13.30 (Not sure what time il clear the checks though) Hopefully i can get an hour or two in on Sat, then do the Sunday and fly back Sunday evening. Il be staying at the Marriott (Got free points so i wont have to pay for the hotel) I dont mind the travelling, If i can buy a new DAC at the event nd bring it back with me, the VAT i save will pay for the flights

I salute your dedication to the cause. If there was a prize for distance traveled per time in attendance at Can Jam, I think we would have a winner! Hopefully you can clear immigration + customs in time to attend the raffle on both days.
