Default tomb

tomb bought some step drill bits from harbour fright and shipped them to me. I asked him to do this for me because these drill bits aren't available here in Portugal. He was very helpful and shipped them promptly very well packed. They arrived in 5 days(from the US to Europe)!

I wouldn't hesitate to deal with tomb again.

I had tomb get me some 3.5mm jacks from Mouser with his order. Shipped it promptly and arrived in perfect condition. Great person to deal with and to echo MASantos, would not hesitate to deal with him in future.

Default Tomb is the Best

I just purchased a Millett Hybrid amp that Tom B. hand-built. The complete package came with a TREAD power supply, a digital multimeter with probes, an adjustment tool for biasing, and three sets of tubes. The parts and build quality of the amp are fantastic, as good or better than the Audio Research, Mark Levinson, Reference Line and Wadia components I've owned.

I had a Melos SHA-3 a few years back, and to my ears, Tom B.'s Millett Hybrid is a better sounding amp. It is warm and full yet retains an amazing amount of detail. It is easy to listen to without sacrificing subtle musical nuances. It is everything I had hoped the Melos would be and more.

Tom packaged and labeled everything perfectly, wrote up some quick-start instructions so that I could begin using the amp right away, and actually made me an instructional video so I could learn more about the amp and how to bias the different sets of tubes. The level of care he put into every aspect of the transaction was far above anything I ever expected.

I can't say enough good things about Tom. If you're lucky enough to buy something he's made, you're in for a treat. As a seller he's honest, reliable, and professional all the way. He's treated me like I was his best friend instead of a total stranger. You can't ask for better than that.

Sincerely,

Mark H.

I too have purchased a Millett Hybrid amp that Tom built himself.
Everything Mark have written is true - the package was better built and put together better than most retail products out there.
The packaging was excellent - everything was wrapped tightly and securely, with lots of protection.
Tom really amazed me with his attention to details - from the attached video tutorials CD to the printed notes and everything else, it is apparent that he invested much time and thought so that I'll be completely satisfied with this package.

The communication with Tom through PMs and e-Mails was flawless, he was extremly helpful and answered the many questions I had.

I wouldn't hesitate dealing again with Tom in the future, it was a great experience, and I recommened him as a perfect seller to anyone.

Tom helped me source some better transistors for my MAX. He even used some from his personal stash. Was very organized in getting it all together to begin with and got it sent really quickly. Well packaged and arrived safely. Head-fi needs more people like YOU, Tom. Thanks again!

Second time Tom has sent me stuff, this time he saved me ordering parts from 2 or 3 sources (and avoid each sources min. order) and put a bunch of capacitors together and packed them exceptionally well in a little box that just arrived! Tom, Thanks again!

I haven't purchased these items directly from Tom, but would not have known about them without his diligent help. The volume knob(large and beautiful solid aluminum), sourced from a vendor on e-bay, as well as the best sounding bipolar junction transistors available. Thanks again Tom ;-)
