wow, i can't believe that after all this time there's no thread here for this long standing and well respected head-fi member! it's my pleasure to start a thread for John after he and i swapped headphones. we'd pm'd/emailed back and forth and had a few great chats by phone. then he came over and we had a mini-meet, which was a lot of fun, and completed the transaction. all in all it was a very positive experience. i'd not hesitate to recommend doing business with him.
Bought a Meridian G08 from John which he described as "flawless" and when it arrived it was indeed flawless. Excellent transaction - I'm sure you can buy with confidence from John.
WOW! Such a great seller and only 2 feedbacks? John is a great guy, bought the D777 off him (his first piece of hardware from head-fi, I'm honoured!). Shipped the next day, with everything nice and packed with care, double-boxed with cushions-a-plenty in between the boxes. Everything is in the package, and arrived exactly as he described. GOSH---I'm impressed, everything so nicely packed I feel like I'm buying a brand new product! Prior to completing the deal he also took the time to talk to me for a good 20~30 mins regarding the item and offered me some great advices. GREAT GUY!!!
ALSO...I'd like to mention that John did this auction for the benefit of Head-fi...he donated the money (less shipping) to head-fi and matched the winning bidders contributions too.

John and I worked out a deal for my Stax Omegas and 007t. I have always had a great deal of respect for John from meeting him and his posts.
This deal just re-affirmed my respect for him.
