I did a headphone/amp trade with oicdn. He has excellent communication and is very honest. He was quick to resolve an issue that was completely out of his control. If things work out, I might be dealing with him some more in the near future and I look forward to it. Anyone thinking about trading with him need not hesitate as he is top notch.

This is regarding a transaction I made with user oicdn ~5 months ago. I bought an integrated amp from him for $60 and he shipped the amp fine. When it arrived, the glass front had been broken during the shipping process. I let him know and he contacted UPS about the situation. UPS picked up the amp and refunded him the $60. A month or so passes with no word and when I message him, he says...something.. and that he will ship out the check. Three weeks later, I have received nothing so I message him again. He says he shipped the check and doesn't know why I didn't receive it but without hesitation says he'll pay me once he sells an iPod case. A few weeks go by with no word. I message him and he says he will pay me out of his pocket since he would get paid the next day. Close to a month has gone by since then and oicdn has stopped responding to my private messages. At least 4 have gone unanswered while he continues to post on the forums.

Hopefully he can come through with the refund since, at the moment, he has or has spent $60 of my money while I have been empty handed for five months.

A little background on this. Everything is as he says above, but there's a couple details left out which make it seem like I just up and disappeared for 5 months.

The 5 months is the ENTIRE time span, from time I got funds to the time he posts that post. That's inclusive of:
  • 1-2 weeks it takes for the amp to arrive to him
  • 1-2 weeks it takes for UPS to pick up the amp from him.
  • 3-4 weeks to process the claim.
  • 1-2 weeks to cut me a $100 claim check.
  • 1-2 weeks for the ENTIRE claim check to be sent to him ($100 for a $65 transaction for his inconvenience)
  • waiting
  • 1-2 weeks to send out an ADDITIONAL $65 since the check didn't arrive.
  • waiting
  • 1 week for sending him a Headphone amp in compensation for this whole mess
  • FINALLY sold some items and have some some spare funds, and send him $65

As you can see, things were happening, I didn't just up and cut communication for 5 months. I was keeping communication up until I was in a situation where I had no computer and/or internet access a week prior to the feedback. I was accessing the forums via my cell phone.

In the PM when I told him I'd be sending him the HP amp, he was inviting to the idea and said he'd amend the feedback when items arrived. As you can see, the feedback wasn't amended and he said he'd rather have his money back AFTER the amp arrived and was in his possession for 2 days. So he said he's sending back the amp, and I paypal'd him funds. I WON'T pester him with amending the feedback as I'm sure it's probably not on the top of his priority list, as neither is sending the amp back, which is understandable given the crap that's happened. However, I am hoping for it's return soon and I'm still awaiting for it to arrive.

So, after all that, it's resolved, and I'm stuck with the feedback above. I appreciate those who PM'd me asking for my side of the story before forming their own opinion. I don't think I'd screw up 5 pages worth of feedback and many months of transactions over $65.

Okay, this is ridiculous.

By his own timechart, he had a UPS check in hand after ~2 months. Yet instead of paypal'ing me the funds which is the way I paid, he decides to send a check. Mmhmm. The check doesn't arrive so what does he do? He sends another check... Mmhmm. Once again nothing arrives and so he sends me an amp that I don't want? Great. Finally he paypals me the refund + cost of shipping the amp back to him. Not sure why he couldn't use paypal in the first place...

Also, I received no response to my private messages for > 1 month prior to leaving feedback. The one week line is a load of crap.

Next, I never was "inviting" to the idea of receiving the portable amp. The only response I gave him was that the feedback would be changed after I received everything (I took from his pm that he had also sent money out.. not just the amp).

FWIW - I've never even listened to the amp. I have no type of portable setup so it was worthless to me. He's "still waiting for it"? I received the refund on March 9th so he hasn't been waiting that damn long.

I hope no one buys into this spin he's trying to put on the transaction.

Obviously, if I didn't use paypal, it was because I had no funds in my paypal account. That should be self explanatory, and as I explained to him SEVERAL times, I use paypal as infrequently as possible. Hence the other reason why I was JUST THEN able to paypal funds. Stop and think before you type.

I wish I wouldn't have cleaned out my PM's...there was only a week. I explicitly remember because I had like 5 messages from you before I got a chance to reply, and frankly, I'm only out of town working 4 days at a time regularly, and that week I was out all week. There were TWO PM messages PMing me about a reply since I'm on the forums, 1 for PMing a mod, and 2 others asking for an update. And the two about me being on the forums were withing a day of eachother, as was the other PMs...don't try to ******** anybody. Why don't you print screen and post that **** up? Or did you conveniently as well clean out your inbox?

Never said he listened to the amp either (read the post), that's his own interpretation, which seems to be a regular thing putting words into my mouth as I also never said I'de be sending funds as well. All I said was I haven't received the amp yet, nor did I say I was waiting forever like he states.

Amazing how he keeps paying attention to MY feedback thread, when I'm the one on "the defensive", shut up and quit crapping on my threads. Yes I was wrong in not sending you funds sooner, but you can't blame me for not sending out money AGAIN after money has been sent out TWICE and not received. That in itself would just be stupid, and I doubt you would do the same. I can't send funds through paypal if I have no funds in my account.

I bought a Go-Vibe Petite from Nate. Easy and painless transaction with good communication. I wouldn't hesitate to buy from him again.

I sold Nate a super short RCA-RCA cable. Simple enough transaction, payment sent as Western Union Money Order via Priority mail. Thanks!

Sold a custom low profile LOd to oicdn. He sent me great pics of his setup so it was easy to make it to his spec. Communicated frequently and paid very quickly. Highly recommended!
