Question amp for DT770PROS

HI

Just got the 770 pro, love it, but already can tell that I'd like to exp with an amp.....I only listen to these through my Sony cdp CA70-ES ( with a headphone jack ohm rating at 32) - and as many of you know, the 770's have a 250ohm rating...

Any suggestions

THANKS

CM

The MG-Head OTL/DT770 make a great combo with the right tubes. These two work to mitigate each others flaws quite nicely.

Default Thanks SumB

Hi

Thanks for your post...........

I am a bit afraid of "tube" amps in general, due to my limited knowledge of tinkering with gear. I assume when people speak of "rolling" tubes or cables, they mean replacing them. I have no idea how to do any of that. If I get the nerve, had been thinking about the Gilmore v1 currently at headamp....but then I think, "hey, my headphones aren't worth it" .....so perhpaps I'll just keep lurking, and wondering "what if"....

Thanks again,

CM

i dont think it is hard to drive the 770pro 250.

a cmoy or meta42 will suffice.

i have a cmoy which runs on 2 9V batteries with xfeed for sale if you are looking for an amp.PM me if interested.

There's no need to be intimidated by tubes. If you can screw in a proper lightbulb you're ready to roll.

The DT770's will thank you for a good amp if you should decide to go for one.

i'm glad to hear that the dt770 sounds good with the mg head otl. i've got an asl 32 otl on the way from upscale audio(as soon as he gets them) and i just sent screwdriver a M.O. for his dt770 pro's. has anyone listened to them with the headroom amps? i've also got a MOHR.

I was very happy with the HAP-02/DT770Pro combination. (Again with the tubes!)
