Default Promptly accepted my payment...that was the only prompt aspect

My experience involves:

1 "lost order"
3 lies regarding shipment of my amp,
1 lie regarding the type of shipping
Numerous ignored email messages.

I did eventually receive my amp, but only after an inexcusable delay. God forbid something should happen to the amp and i should have to have it serviced. I expect i would never see it again.

The quality of the amp is as it should be. However the 2 month wait was excessive, especially since funds had already been extracted from my account.

The amp was only delivered after i tried to cancel my order.

Default Nice

I recieved my SMM from drew about 1 week after the original shipping date, but that was to be expected with all the backlogs. Sounds terrific so far, so I'm not complaining =). It looks like drew has cleaned up most of the delays, so I think his business is starting to look up again.

Default Worth the Wait!

I received my Ascent amp about a week ago and I still can't believe how good it sounds. Absolutely dead quiet, beautifully detailed, open and airy, with a wonderful soundstage. With quality recordings, it is as if you are at the recording venue.

For the last year or so, I have been using a Creek OBH-11SE with the better power supply (a lot more money) but the Ascent just does a better job at reproducing the music, hands down.

There was a slight delay in receiving the amp, during which time I read some of your comments and was put a little on edge by them, however, Drewd always contacted me within a day, whenever I asked about the status of the amp. If I had acted on these comments, I would have missed out on a beautifully constructed, fantastic little amp.

Anyway, this is an amp maker that is worth the wait both in terms of the money you will save and the quality you will receive. Keep up the good work Drewd!

Well in my book Drew is first class. I placed an order with him for the Maxi Moy Signature Edition with the AC regulator. When I placed the order I mentioned that I would be traveling next week. He said that he would do his best to get it to me. Drew went out of his way and used Express Mail to make sure it got here in time.

Also, his emails were friendly and prompt and he took the time to answer all of my questions.

I would gladly do business with Drew again.

Default Ongoing problems

I finally received my headamp from drewd a month ago - after 4 months of waiting - however the unit was defective and the delivery did not include all the parts specifified and paid for. I was promised a replacement and the missing parts of the order within a week. A month later and I have received nothing. I have reminded Drewd via the shellbrook lab website a while back and received no answer so I have sent a request for a refund today. Saying Drewds problems have been solved might be a bit premature...

I ordered an Ascent amp from Drew, it took about a month and there were a few delays in shipping, but the sound quality is exceptional. I wouldn't hesitate to buy other products from Drew.

I waited 6 months for mine (after receiving a defective unit with missing accesories 6 weeks ago). I gave up and now have a refund - as have quite a few others in the past. I was told something like 12 times that it had already been dispatched when it wasn't - that raises issues beyond simple over commitment. I would certainly urge others to hesitate.

Default Many Thanks to DrewD

Drew graciously donated a Super Mini Moy to the New York Spring Head-Fi meet. Proceeds went to pay for the renting of the hall and to Head-Fi. We raised over $500 in donations for Head-Fi through the auction and Drew's donation contributed greatly to the total.

He also lent me a Hybrid Head demo for the meet, which he allowed me to keep for several weeks. Drew's a really classy guy in my book!

Default at the end

If you are thinking of ordering an amp from drew, my advise:
first read all what is available about drew's service, that is all I wanna say.
