Bought his AKG K340's. They came in really quick and packed up really well. They were a bit dirty, but it game me an excuse to take them all apart clean them and recable them. Have no worry dealing with this great guy!
Thanks,
Alex

Art sold me a factory-sealed iRiver SlimX 400 player. He was friendly and communicative and promptly shipped the item which came exactly as described. Overall, an excellent transaction and I wouldn't hesitate to deal with him again.
Bought some CDs from Art. Shipped promptly and received in perfect condition!
Thanks!

After buying an item from drarthurwells, I received the following email from him:
Before packing the amp I decided to try it out once more, this time being sure the tubes were firmly seated.
The distortion I heard before was gone. It has the rich, liquid sound of a tube amp. Coloration yes, but nice.
However there is a hum that you don't notice when music plays but can notice slightly otherwise. This is also what you get from tubes.
I am refunding your money and keeping the amp.
I am sorry.

Yes. I offered a brand new Ming Da MC66AE amp for $50 plus shipping and Ebay fees and Skysaxon sent me money by e-mail. I had sold it as brand new (I never listened to it to keep it new) for $325 just a few weeks ago but took it back because of distorted sound and hum and refunded the $325 to the buyer.
I was selling it so cheap because, as I clearly stated, the sound was distorted but it may be corrected with better tubes than the ones supplied with it. Skysaxon was willing to take a chance on it for only $50 for nice class A output stage new amp made in China just 2 months ago.
I checked the amp once more before shipping, but seated the tubes firmly before listening. It sounds great except for some hum you can detect if you look for it, but only in very quiet or silent musical passages.
I will not sell an amp worth hundreds of dollars for fifty dollars, particularly since my son needs a headphone amp. I refunded Skysaxon's money through paypal - he lost not a cent - within an hour or two of his sending it to me and advised him why.
I understand his disappointment and am sorry, but would not hestitate to do the same again in the same circumstances.
