any possibility to comment on the build quality? is the new black a more quality material or same cheap plastic used as chrome in the regular sa6?

The chrome pieces are now black graphite. Hmm, I can see how some ppl might prefer this more toned down look but I prefer, from these pictures at least, the silver chrome TBH. I think it offsets better with the black rubbery plastic of the rest of the driver housing and/or connected bass port. The plasticky black rubber takes backstage to the silver chrome in that instance, were as, in these pictures at least, the dull graphite takes backstage to the plasticky black, which doesn't work for me.

Mm, not bad. But wait...is the front part of the earpiece (where the treble tube enters) still chrome colored? I can't be certain, but it looks suspiciously so in those pictures...


And have the chrome-colored cable accents been converted to graphite, or do these come with the original (now mismatched) cable?

I think you're right. Looks like it has the same chrome ring near the treble tube.
Looks really nice, but at the moment i don't feel the need to "upgrade" from the regular version.

That isn't chromed. It is an actual metal ring.

The cables are the same but in reality they do not look mismatched at all with the new graphite.
