Default Very High end Speakers Boenicke audio

I just wanted to get your thoughts on Boenicke Audio. These swiss guys in my opinion know what they are doing. The boenicke audio speakers are hand carved from solid wood ensuring maximum resonance. What I personally love about this is the fact that acoustic based instruments use resonance in order to project a very clear sound and because of the vibrations from this type of amplifications the wood fibers actually start separating over time. This ensures better and better sound quality over time much like a Gibson J45 original sounds better if it is the original series instead of the remake because it has had years of play under its belt.

Another great point to using solid wood over MDF is that the speakers mimic this wood and wind base instrument resonance much more seamlessly than MDF. When wood vibrates it moves where as MDF speakers are a slower resonance so the crispness and clarity don’t show through.
I love the porting that Boenicke uses on its speakers which turns the speaker box itself into a natural amplification.
So me question to you what do you think of boenicke audios speakers and which speaker box media do you prefer.

I haven't heard them, but the craftsmanship is pretty amazing.

Definitely would like to hear them someday. I am a fan of ribbon tweeters as well.

I would not want my spkr cabinets to resonate!

speakers are not supposed to add things that were not there to begin with.

seems like a fail from the get-go.

nice wood work, though!

about speakers: I think nothing can compensate the long time experience of some manufacturers... Speaker-building is a matter of background and philosophy.
Very, very nice looking speakers. I hope they have the right philosophy I wish success

All speaker boxes resonate otherwise we would stick a speaker voice coil on the floor. Not saying this to be a anass just clearing up what resonate means in this case.

Boenicke is not new they have been around for 15 years or so they also own a swiss record label they know there music that is why I wanted to share these with your guys because us north Americans only have 1 distributor that is why no one knows about them.

x2 You don't want the cabinets to resonate. Companies such as B&W (and most speaker manufacturers) take great pains in cabinet bracing, etc. to eliminate flexing and resonation from the cabinet.

Uhh, no... at least not intentionally. And there is no confusion as to what you meant by resonate. A speaker is not supposed to = an acoustic instrument.

Maybe resonate wasn't the right word. Anyways these speakers produce incredible wood and wind based sounds quality call it what ever you like but unless you have actually heard them in person you cannot fully under stand by me just talking about them. Cello sounds like the performer is sitting right in front of you. I love audio but I am a musician so my terminology is not up to par haha

Yay for dictionary.com

resonate meant in this form: to amplify vocal sound by the sympathetic vibration of air in certain cavities and bony structures.

not this form: to reinforce oscillations because the natural frequency of the device is the same as the frequency of the source.
