Same here, man. Looking at that Leben brings back beautiful memories of the Marantz 7P (and accompanying Marantz 8B) I had here some time ago. I'm a vintage Marantz and Luxman fanboy. I'm going to search to see if you left any review-type comments about that Leben in any of your previous posts, selfdivider.

Right on, Jude. That's the sweet spot that the Leben hits for me, too, the old Marantz & Luxman. I think the designer of Leben, Tada Hyodo, was also the tube designer for Luxman in their heydays. Here's something on Leben:
SonicFlare -- Sports Cars For Your Living Room
Design-wise, the Leben really works like a SET w/o the limitations. There will be SET diehards, but the Leben gets that sweetness of sound PLUS the ability to extend the frequencies beyond what the SETs are capable of. It's surprisingly dynamic and powerful. I also like that it's not the typical warmy, fuzzy tube-y amp. Very clear, transparent, and rhythmic... gorgeous tone, too.

It is an old picture -
In my current setup - You would see about three stands - two which hold two sets each. Added custom recabled HD580's to that and some old pioneers. Plus, many nice new cables. Added a new Marantz CDP and now have a SS and a Hybrid Amp. Although, the hybrid sounds much better IMO. I will post the new pic later tonight.
Also, my Magnaplanars are in storage ATM since I am not in a position to set them up properly.
The speaker amp will likely be upgraded in the comming weeks.
Besides, it is all relative! Maybe I will keep in the Member's Lounge though.
Yeah - I meant to post a new pic right after - but never got around to it - my bad!

You just described how I feel about my new Luxman P-1 headphone amp--only the P-1 pulls it off while being solid state.
I'm going to have to read up more on Leben, man. Thanks for the link.

^ Will you write up a review or some in-deep comments about the Luxman? I've been a Luxman fan for years, my main integrated for years was a Luxman and man, I loved it, I should have never replaced it with a Krell
I'm very curious about their new HP amp, I have the feeling that I'll like it a lot.

Vintage Luxmans are awesome, but Luxman's back in the US audio industry with a vengeance, man. Their integrated, I forget the model #, is TREMENDOUS. I hear their pre/power separates are great, and I wouldn't be surprised if their HP amp spanks almost everything out there. If you can read Japanese, it's worth checking out Stereo Sound 2007 Grand Prix list. Very interesting; very different from the US lists.

Dude. Just let me know when you're in NYC. We'll hit up some record stores in Lower East Side & get some beer breaks in between.
As I wrote above, Luxman's just kickin' ass these days & taking no names. I heard their small integrated; powerful, but also crazy transparent/holographic like the best of tubes. Hands down one of the most addictive solid state amp out there right now. Curious about your head amp.
Leben is awesome as headphone amp, too, although ever since I got myself situated in the basement mancave, I don't much listen to headphones anymore since I can blast the bejeezus out of my speakers late at night. (Right now, listening to the excellent Black Keys' "Attack & Release" LP while drinking a cold one.) Unlike other integrateds with headphone outs, the music gets transmitted directly relayed from output transformers to headphone with a switch of the button. One of the reasons I got the Leben in the first place is that I could kill 2 birds w/ one stone. It's one of the best integrateds out there, regardless of price, and also an awesome headphone amp... almost all the editors at Stereophile went gaga over it at Montreal's FSI show. Despite having heard 6-figure systems, Stereophile editor-in-chief John Atkinson gave Leben/ProAc room the Best Sound in Show...

My relatively vintage system still pleases. No sense of electronics to the music at all.
