That room is the antithesis of my space, but exactly how I wish my livingroom could be like.
...but with 2 kids in a 2 bedroom apartment and lots of electronics, it ain't never gunna happen

The accuphase/mcintosh/b&w combo give off a very warm inviting sound. It works well with not so well recorded cds.
I highly recommend everyone who likes the Senn 580/6x0 sound to hear the 800 series b&w speakers. They're very similar in tonality, but better in everything

I have my PC/TV/DVD player as the source with the PC going into Stello DA100 DAC and the DA100/TV/DVD going into Bel Canto e.One S300iu which feeds the AC speakers and the Zana Deux.
The "TV stand" is really just a tipped-over Ikea Lack book shelf with legs.
Thought about getting a decent vinyl player and/or better dedicated CD player but never really got around to it since I started med school.
I was very close to pulling the trigger on a Pro-ject Xperience turntable last week, but thought about the need for a phono preamp and a cartridge, looked at my bank account, and decided against it.

I usually only use headphone when I'm studying late at night on that little black bubble chair, which is about 6 feet away from the amp. Occasionally from the couch (about 10 feet way) for late night movies...etc.
I actually sold the RS1 last week. But while I had it, the cord isn't really long enough, fortunately the RS1 came with an extension cord.

He is also very fond of cables and wires, so at our house we have an "armsrace" just like hackers and firewalls, I find a way to get things out of his reach and he finds a way around the obstackle

Nice and clean. Old school Spectral and Avalons should work well together. Why is there no mention of the Avalons or the DMA-50 (?) in your signature?

Thanks guys. I've spent a long time getting this system together. I've always wanted the less is more approach. Many years.... but, it all paid off. I'm a big fan of Spectral as you can see. The amplifier is a DMA-100s. It's actually a rack and a half space unlike the earlier DMA-50, 80, & 90. Along with the small Avalon Symbols, the speed from this complete system is startling to say the least. It's ironic, the Sony SA-5000's sound very similar in speed and resolution to this speaker system. That's probably why when I'm not listening to my speakers, the SA-5000's do a very good job.
