After 60 hours, they go from "decent for the money"...to "great, holy crap".
At 120 hours they chuckle at the competition.
Let the games begin!!!
They are very vertical headphones. The soundstage will stay vertical and and become more "circum-aural" as time goes on.
In a little while (30 hours), play one of those reference tracks that you may have, that sounds like someone is walking or making a sound behind you. It will be like ducking from the water that hits your windshield from the car on the opposite side of the highway going the other way when it's pouring, even though you know the water won't break the glass.

I hate to report that as the evening went on the new phones started to develop a crackling (static) sound. First in the left headphone, then in both. Even when it was unplugged. I have contacted Fang and will be sending them back (for repair/replacement).
Not good. I hope that the issue is quickly resolved.

Cheers,
oh snap
that definitely isn't right. my 1.3 never had any crackling, from day 1 until i sent them back. Don't worry. I'm sure Fang will fix things. but unfortunate it had to happen. they didn't look damaged in any way. i wonder what's up. I hope it's not a bad batch.

Yeah it was interesting, I unplugged them to try my 4070 (to make sure I didn't have an amp issue) and it was still crackling. It would stop once I would touch the ends of the connector with my finger, discharging the headphones I guess.
