immtbiker or anybody who possibly can, can you offer a small comparison of these to the Taket H2s? Namely, would you be able to say the transparency and accuracy of the upper-mid to highs matches or rivals the H2s?
Is the bottom end flimsy electrostatic bass or could you say it it does have definition and dips into the subterreanean depths that I don't think the H2s do - as far as I can tell in my system, it can go very low with volume when these particular parts are isolated but cannot give the sub 35hz punch and resonance when the rest of the tune playing. For instance, in one of Katie Melua's songs, Crawling up a hill, it is very obvious compared to my AD2000s, which is bad considering these bass punches are the best part of the song =].

Deep bass is the H2's Achilles' heal IMO. I very much doubt the HEAudio will have much trouble beating them in bass depth considering I own more than one earbud that does.

I'm surprised about comments concerning the H2's bass performance. Considering this TAKET | user manual
Of course little is said about what the WHD actually does for the bass. The fact that the headphone transducers are also used as a "Woofer Hi-Difinitioner" for a speaker system led me to presume that the H2's were potentially unbalanced, i.e. Overpowering in the bass.
I hope to hear a set some day.

The second set of earpads that Mr. Takei sent me were thicker and gave a better fit on the head. They distanced the drivers further away from the ear and the bass became more enjoyable at the expense of a cavernous midrange.
He then sent a third pair of earpads which supposedly addressed both issues which I believe are the OEM earpads if you were to buy them, now.
Yikes,
I thought the WHD (weapon of hash destruction) was an add-on subwoofer that you could use if you used the earspeakers as "off the head" speakers, but I have been known to go outside and look down to make sure that I remembered to put on my pants .

The way I read the above linked information was that the WHD IS the drivers from the headphones.
Are you bringing the H2's next Saturday? I'd love to give them a listen.

Ok guys, appreciate your views. I think I'm going to take the plunge on these as soon as I've got a decent amp to drive them, I'm all up for a different signature especially if it can be even begin to be compared to the Orpheus.
After comparing my H2s to the rest of my dynamic headphones, I don't think I can expect many things to stand up to the mid range and above, they all sounded drab, lifeless and as if an element of body to the sound was just missing, most especially apparent to me in live music. Non of them come close to providing the realistic timbre of instruments, voices...whatever, as opposed to how the H2 handles them.
So apart from the full bass extension issue and the fact that I've seen the vertical element in the middle of the headphones glowing () one time in a dark room when I took them off my head whilst they were still playing, I still love these phones but hope the HeAudio to be a great compliment. Didn't mean to drag the topic off so much but I just had a revelation as I went back to my old phones

Is the case that the EH1.2B's come in suitable for day to day use to keep the Headphones dust free? or should I plan on procuring a stand and dust cover?
