it means the bass is good in a surprising way.
i'm not sure how deep the bass goes. still trying to figure that out, although it does have some depth, but it definitely has good bass presence. on the right tracks, it hits hard (has some slam). and to me this is surprising, as i did not think stats really did that.

WRT bass, OII or HE60 & BH definitely have slam, darn near as deep as any dynamics.

It's a common and very wrong myth. I'd take the lack of overhang over the slam any day but the SR-007 can do both. Blasting Megadeth and Iron Maiden is a lot of fun and I only have to back off because my ears can't handle it.

Agree about the meet! Do you think head-direct would ship to the UK/Australia?

We will go back to EH-1.2 style
New model will be EH-1.2B. Black color.
EH-1.3 will be discontinued. EH-1.3 owners can return their EH-1.3 for replacement if they want to.
More details

Nankai,
That's good to hear about going back to the 1.2 design. Since it's black does that mean that the wood around each electrostat is black instead of the stained mahogany on immtbiker's HE1.2's?

This is great news!
Cause I was not overly impressed with the looks of the EH-1.3, especially compared to the EH-1.2

This is good news. The SR-Sigma still reigns supreme as the uglies ESP ever in production...

What do you think is built better and looks better......
I don't think the 1.3 will be a collectors item, even if a few of them were ever made. If you know what I mean...

Keep it till its burned in (at least somebody do this) to confirm the sound signature and quality is comparable/the same.
If so, then it's like the previous comment - how collectable do you think it's likely to ever be versus how important are the looks of your chinese ESP to you?
