WTF Happened? Advice needed?
So I wake up this morning, and go outside, and a greeted by my driver's side window. Shattered. We have had problems with this window before, going out of it's track while raising, but havent actually used it in a while. What is the best route to go in repairing this?

No basebal or rock inside? I'd guess someone threw something through your window.

Ouch, I usually use Safelite for auto glass repair. They are a chain in the US.

1. Vacuum clean the seat.
2. Take place in the drivers seat.
3. Drive the car to the local Dodge dealer.
4. Ask them to replace the window.
Obvious isn't it.

Did you have a big temperature change during the night? If the glass is stressed from being off the track, etc. and the temperature swings, this can happen.
A friend with a hatchback once had this happen. There was a defect in the seal, which stressed the window. It got really cold one night, and the back window shattered like that.
Sorry that happened to you. Broken windows completely suck. Did you contact your insurance company? I hope they'll cover replacement.

So...looks like somebody threw a small-ish kind of rock through your window over the night. That's what I'm assuming, even though there's some glass outside of the car.
Should maybe mount a (fake) security camera right outside your garage door. I read on Google that this one guy had a hidden camera, and a FedEx guy didn't know that, and he took a leak right in the guy's driveway!

Or possibly Celine Dione CDs, if he's located in Canada. They seem proud of her for some reason. Can't imagine why. The sound of her voice makes me want to climb walls with my fingernails.
I know, it seems random. But he could be from Canada, and if so, that might explain it.
...
On a serious note, this does suck. Try to get it replaced as soon as possible before it rains.

No, i dont live in Canada, but close to it. There was nothing of value in the car out in the open, and i checked to see if anything was stolen, and nothing was. It was also unlocked, so i doubt someone would break a window to get in. Also, you cannot see our house form the road, and we have a 900 ft gravel driveway with two hills, so i am leaning towards freak accident rather than vandalism.
EDIT: I also do not listen to Celine Dione, but i think i recall the name from the Weird Al Song "Canadien Idiot"

If you're anywhere near to Canada, look out for the Celine freaks! They're everywhere up there. Too much cold, and ice and snow, makes for a numb mind and extremely poor musical tastes. Or it could be that they simply can't help it because they're always looking for something, anything, to be proud of.
The other theory would be that you're messing around with someone else's wife. I know it happened to me once, but that was a long time ago, and of course they were separated, and of course that had nothing to do with me, but of course he didn't see it that way! Thankfully, it was her car window that he decided to break while she was with me. Still kind of spooky though because after that, I was looking over my shoulder all the time. Never did work out with her...

Well, if i was messing with someone's wife, it would be a felony on her part.... Also, I dont know anyone who listens to Celine Dion (thank god).

Listen to me on this one! (search for my threads, and you will find the relevant one near the top)
Just call Safelite, and they will clean up the mess and replace the window. This stuff is usually random, so don't feel bad.
Or, maybe it's not so random... HFers' car windows being attacked? Does Kirosia have a private jet?

Why did the glass fall on the outside and not inside?
