Default Trouble with the mail from the UK to NL

Hey all, I'm experiencing immense trouble with the UK Royal Mail..
I bought like 11 CD's from eBay sellers in the UK, the first being bought in late April, a fellow Head-Fi'er send me something, last week I bought some opamps from diy hi-fi.co.uk (also an eBay seller) and nothing has arrived..
All CD's were bought from different sellers and I don't really believe the collaborate-super-scam-theory my brother whipped up.
Most of the sellers are saying "too bad, sh*t happens" and I spent close to €150 all together.. for nothing but hot air.

All items were sent in envelopes, none of them arrived. I also bought some Dunny vinyl figures as gifts for friends, they all arrived. The difference is that the Dunny's were sent as packages.
So the problem lies with whoever handles the envelopes.

Are there any Dutch Head-fi'ers who have/had experience(d) the same problem? Because I'm getting pretty annoyed by this..

Maybe use register or recorded mail (with enough insurance) next time you use ebay.

Re: last week purchase, there was a postal strike last Sat or Sun in UK which hopefully is the reason for delay on your latest purchase....fingers crossed.

maybe your local post man is helping himself to your stuff. to me it would seem unlikely that post for diff places in the uk would all not reach you as it wouldnt be going through the same offices

Well, all items pass the same office at a certain time seeing that they all go trough the same office that handles post outgoing to the NL, and the NL office receiving them.
But IF my post man was actually helping himself to my goods, he/she would also steal the post coming from France, NL post and others. But that isn't the case.
I receive post from France, Germany, Taiwan, Singapore, US etc, just not from the UK.

i mean all post from the uk to the netherlands cant be going astray, maybe the royal mail passes it to the uk arm of TNT here and someone there is stealing your stuff?

I'd wait a bit longer for the op amps, just over a week isn't very long for international shipping. The missing CDs are very suspect though. Is it possible to take it up with ebay/paypal, saying you didn't receive the items?

Also, for what it's worth (I work part time at a RM sorting office), if the CDs were shipped in those cardboard cases they'll be classed as packets and not letters/envelopes. It's difficult to tell where they've gone though, as they could have gone "missing" in a number of places (the UK post office/sorting office or the ones in your country).
