Default Should I stay or should I go.

I am working at a job I am really starting to hate. I mean HATE. I am making up excuses almost every week not to come in. I have got a few job offers going my way right now. I will probably have a new job in a few months at the most. In a few days I will be getting my taxes back. About a thousand dollars worth. Should I toughen the job out until then or just quit and take my chances with all the job offers I have. I am 100 percent certain I can survive a few months on my tax return.

If you hate your job, quit it and find something you enjoy...

That's my recommendation anyway, but what do I know?.. I love my job.

Just make sure they don't fire you before you can quit. And, if you do quit, give 2 weeks+ notice so that they will be willing to give you a reference and/or hire you back should you ever have the need.

If you hate it and you have other options, quitting might not be a bad idea.

First get a new job, then quit. Not because of the financial risk, but because you're a much more attractive job candidate if you're currently employed elsewhere.

I figured out what to do. I will just start working less hours. They are very flexible about hours.

its always tuff when you find yourself at a job that you can not stand, i'd suggest make it as long as you can so you still get a good reference but find something you like/enoy doing......

I agree with their suggestions. It's a little bit difficult to find a job right now. I'm doing temp work for my day job and it's ended last month and I haven't got any day job now, luckyly I have a 2nd job so I don't really worry about my finances. Hopefully I can get a day job soon.

Never having had a real job I can't give experienced advice. I would have to say that in these economic times, you should leave your current employer in good standing for references.
I have noticed that those who have a job seem to get hired at a different job before those that don't have a job.

Off the top of my head, the fewer hours idea sounds good. You can spend more time trying to find a better job.

Life is too short to be doing something you do not enjoy. Give notice and leave on good terms. Causing a problem of any sort always seems to haunt you later on.

A job in one hand is better than two offers in the other.

Get another job lined up and secured/guaranteed, then drop the old job like a sack of potatoes. If you just have an offer and then quit you may find yourself out of work for too long.

My .02 worth.

Heres my conclusion,
making a life altering decesion off the opinions of some idiots on the internet that happen to be headphone freaks(don't get me wrong, I'm included in this crowd) is plain dumb.
DUMB.

You are correct, he asked for opinions, I gave him mine. I too am trying to help. My opinion is to not listen to anyone else, listen to the little voice inside you, if you don't, you will always be second guessing yourself, sorry, but asking for the advice of pretty much complete strangers isn't exactly on the top of my list, and its my opinion that it shouldn't be on his either.
Don't like my opinion? The ignore button exists for a reason.
