Recommendations for books in the vein of Voltaire's Candide?
I first picked up Candide at a yard sale almost a decade ago. Through the years, the book has maintained its relevance to me; I still enjoy it as much now as I first did when I was a wee lad of 13.
Now, I'm looking for something in the same vein - something philosophical which is funny yet deep, eternal in it's message and with some memorable phrases ("it's all for the best in this best of all worlds" is one of my favourite quotes).
Suggestions, anyone?
