Exodus - 5/10
While I like films that make me think, this one was just... boring. I understand what the director was trying to do, and I get the whole underlining message of the movie. But it's just so boring and the characters and their relationships are just so under developed that by the end of the movie I really didn't care. I give it a 5 because I still like the idea of the movie, just poor execution.

40yo-virgin I gotta give a 9/10 though. Easily one of the funniest movies I've seen in years.

While Knocked Up was good, I felt that some of the characters were a bit forced. Like the married couple with Paul Rudd's character...they just didn't have it. 40's characters were spot on and they worked around each other well...there was a flow and easy to their interactions that never felt forced. I laughed harder at 40 as well.

x3. I couldn't even FINISH Knocked Up...Ok at best. It's weird too because I LOVED 40 year old virgin (I've seen it like 7 times), never laughed harder in a theatre when I went to see Wedding Crashers, Anchorman is a complete classic.....
But, Knocked Up just didn't do it for me.

Shrek the Third - 5/10
I *loved* the first two, but the third is so weak it's astounding. So may story lines that could have gone somewhere and didn't. A real disappointment.
Yes - I watch a lot of movies.

"Elizabethtown" - I give it 2 out of 10.
I'm not finished watching it, but I'm certain i hate it.
It's like they went through all the paperwork and email chain from Garden State, took all the rejected ideas, tied them together with montages and oppressively loud soundtrack, and called it a movie.
It'd be about 40 minutes long if they cut out the filler. Instead i'm at an hour and 40 minutes and in disbelief that my tivo says there's another half hour to go.

Chuck and Larry
What a mess of a movie. I think I almost laughed once.
3/10
Eagle vs. Shark
8/10
Very quirky comedy, kind of in the style of Napoleon Dynamite. Worth a look if you're into that kinda humor.

More than most films on a single subject/source material, I find the Bounty films (1935 with Clark Gable and Charles Laughton, 1962 with Marlon Brando and Trevor Howard, 1984 with Mel Gibson and Anthony Hopkins) interesting as they all vary in sympathy for Fletcher Christian and the mutiny or William Bligh based on the social conditions at the time of the filming. It's an interesting example where three great films speak either to purity, liberty, individualism, social structure or law and order. It's not always overt, but there definitely worthly of a triple feature weekend.
It should also be noted, you can probably safely skip '89s Mutant on the Bounty.
Since Casablanca was mentioned earlier, another great triple feature is it, Sydney Pollack and Robert Redfords Havanna and Pamela Andersons action/sci-fi Barb Wire ( worlds greatest review) which all came from the Casablanca script. The Third Man can also be added as a film that could only be made after it, and is superior in my book.

Reign over Me
with
Adam Sandler, Don Cheadle
I give it a 3/5 star rating.
It was a sappy movie, and so naturally my girlfriend loved it!
I thought it was alright. Adam Sandler's character wore a pair of headphones throughout the film, and I was trying to figure out what kind they were. They were supra-aural's and I was hoping I would see atleast a brandname on them... I enjoyed the film because I felt that if I were in the Sandler's character's predicament, I would feel the same and probably act in the same manner. Also, I really liked the end where Sandler is screaming "reign over me." <----- I will leave it at that, I do not want to spoil it for anyone.

We just watched Pirates of the Caribbean - At World's End last night on DVD and it kinda sucked. The first was definitely the best. I'm glad I waited for the DVD (thru local library) and didn't see it in the theatre. I give it a 4/10.

I would give "No Country For Old Men" an 8 out of 10. The movie that I saw before that was "Beowulf" in 3-D IMAX. I would rate that one a 1.5 out of 10.
