Need a little bit of advice about DHL
Hey all,
I am waiting for a package that has been sent through DHL. [My Eastsound CD-E5 CD Player] I'm wondering how many more 'steps' there are to go and if I should expect to recieve it today or tomorrow?
Arrived at DHL facility in Toronto - Canada
Transferred through Toronto - Canada
Transferred through Toronto - Canada [#2]
Departed from DHL facility in Toronto - Canada
Clearance processing complete at Toronto - Canada
That most recent update was today at 12:53 EST.
Any idea when I'll be getting my toy?

I use DHL pretty much everyday here in the States for work. We do ship things to Canada on occassion. I think the next steps are:
Arrive at Local DHL facility
With Delivery Courier
Shipment delivered.
Course could be different within Canada.
Good Luck!

sorry man,couldn't resist....
From reading various posts i get the impression that getting anything through the Canadian border is a real hassle and even international transactions are easier.
why ? what is the mechanism or justifiaction for all the red tape and hassling of legitimate goods being shipped to our "Northern' brothers ?
Why should it be easier to just "walk in" with a package but ship it and it takes a lifetime to show up and with cost added ?
an attempt at "Canadian goods for Canadians" ?
Not trying to hijack the thread but if i ever need to ship to Canada i would like to make it painless for both parties involved if possible.

Yeah, it is a little crazy at times. My best advice to people is avoid couriers if at all possible. Especially if you can't have packages delivered to your work. I have always had a huge hassle with recieving FedEx or UPS packages until I started getting them sent to my work. USPS is a far better way to go as they will just leave the package at your local postal office so that you can pick it up at your leisure.

I think he just means that it is more difficult and takes longer to ship something to Canada than it does to ship something to say, Europe. I certainly find this to be true... and I'm IN Canada.

there have been some hardcore qualms with dhl's service, in the past. i know of a fiew companys that were severly inconvienced after unique parts were lost,a nd 1 that was actually put out of buisness afdtger lawsuits involving various goods that dhl lost.

Well lets see. You're missing the following scans:
Drive over package with truck scan Toronto-Canada
Departure scan Toronto-Canada
Arrival scan Nairobi-Kenya
This doesn't go here scan Nairobi-Kenya
Drive over package with donkey scan Nairobi-Kenya
Departure scan Nairobi-Kenya
then two weeks will go by and you'll get this:
I don't know where the hell the package is scan Toronto-Canada
Oh, wait you said DHL. Nevermind I'm thinking of UPS.
